There will be two loosely-organized training runs on the Ice Age Trail 50 race course on Saturday, August 21 (35 miles) and Saturday, August 28 (19 miles). The runs start at the Nordic Trail Head (the IAT start/finish area) at 7:30 a.m. There will be one minimalist aid station with water, Heed and a few snacks on both days. Everyone is invited, whether or not they are registered for this year’s race — and you do not have to run the entire distance. Rangers will be checking, so make sure you have a state park pass on your windshield if you are parking in the Nordic or Muir lots.
This is a great time to test your endurance on the hills of the Southern Kettles — and to meet other Ice Agers. Hope to see you there!
